The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme has been introduced by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to provide an opportunity to learners to pursue higher studies in this professional programme. The students can apply for IGNOU MCA Admission in both January and July academic cycle. The students can pursue the MCA after graduation for productive careers in the software industry and academia.You can obtain the prospectus  from the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and from Regional Centres, Study Centres, and IGNOU ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE AND ASSAM RIFLES Recognised Regional Centres. or you can download IGNOU MCA Prospectus from the official website at www.ignou.ac.in

Medium :  The programme is offered by the university in only English medium.

Eligibility : The candidates applying for IGNOU MCA admissionshould be graduate from a recognised university. However, the students who have not pursued Mathematics as a distinct subject at 10+2 are required to pursue and pass the CS-60 course concurrently.

IGNOU MCA Programme Fee:

The details about  the MCA programme fees are mentioned below :

  • Rs. 8,000 per semester.
  • Rs. 100 in addition to Rs. 8,000 as Registration Charges for the First Semester.
  • For non-maths students, an additional fee of Rs. 1,000 has to be paid for CS-60.

Note: The University may change the fees with time. So, Please confirm the fees from your nearest IGNOU Regional Centre.

IGNOU MCA Programme Duration:

The minimum duration required to complete for the MCA is 3 year and the maximum duration  is 6 years.Also, there is no bar on minimum and maximum age required  to get admission in this programme.
