The Indira Gandhi National Open University has developed an online admission system for the student’s convenience. Now, the learners who wish to study through distance mode at this university can apply for admission and submit their Ignou online admission January 2019 application form at https://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission.

The applicants should have working internet connection and computer to access the university online admission system and apply it. It is very much beneficial for the learners who do not have IGNOU Regional Centre in their nearby area.

The last date of admission is not available yet.

The start of admission system online does not means that the university will be going to shut down the old offline system of admission. Both the methods of admission will work in parallel as both systems will follow the same schedule of receipt of application forms during the academic cycle.

IGNOU Online Admission Form 2019

Currently, the university has been providing this facility only for the available programmes which are offered through common prospectus such as BDP, BA, B.Sc., BSW, B.Com, BCA, M.Com, MA, MSW, MCA, etc. except for few merit-based and entrance test based programmes.

To apply for Online Admission, the applicants has to create their User ID and password for logging into the system. They have to upload the required documents along with the submission of admission form. After submitting the admission form online, the candidates do not need to send the printed copy of submitted application form to the Regional Centre.

How to pay IGNOU programme fee online?

The applicants can pay the prescribed Ignou programme fee online using the payment gateway. At present, the students can pay the fee online using the Credit Card and Debit card facility only. But in future, the university is planning to add more payment gateway to their online fee payment system.

Once you submit your Ignou online admission form and upload all the mandatory documents verifying your eligibility, you can submit the fee online as well.

It should be noted that fee once paid cannot be refunded back or transferable to any other programme.  The applicants submitting the admission form through an online system can download the Ignou prospectus from university official website at www.ignou.ac.in. However, they will be charged Rs.100 extra as processing fee along with programme fee.

IGNOU Online Admission Status

Once the admission form is submitted online, the students can easily check their status of admission on the university official website. The university provides the link on its website to check the Ignou admission status by Name or Enrollment number.

The university will send the message to the applicant’s mobile number and email id which is registered with the online admission system once his/ her admission is confirmed.
