Ignou Revaluation- The Indira Gandhi National Open University provides an opportunity for its students to fill up revaluation form if they do not satisfy with their results or marks awarded to them in the Term End Examination.
Students can request the university to re-evaluate their Answer Scripts. Those who got fail or obtain less marks from their expectation can apply for revaluation by filling up and submitting the application form. They have to apply for revaluation within one month from the date of declaration of result.
The request has to be made on prescribed application form to the concerned evaluation centre. Please check out the application form to know more about evaluation centre. The students can download the prescribed Ignou revaluation form from the university official website or they can also find it in the prospectus.
The students who apply for revaluation of their answer scripts will be able to check their IGNOU Revaluation Result on the university official website after 45 days. The university also sends the revaluation result status to students via post as well.
IGNOU Revaluation Fee
Students have to pay Rs.750/- per course for revaluation of their answer script. If any student fills up revaluation form for 4 courses, then he/ she has to pay a total of Rs.3000/- (Rs. 750 x 4) as revaluation application fee.
Please note that that the application fee has to be paid in the form of demand draft only. The fees if paid in the form of cash will not be accepted.
The fee demand draft has to be made in favour of IGNOU payable at the city where submitting the Re-evaluation form. To know about the city for submitting the revaluation form, please check out the second page of the prescribed application form.
The revaluation fee is categorized into three categories as per the country. These are mentioned below:
- For Indian Students: Rs. 750/-per course
- For SAARC Countries Students: Rs. 1200/-
- For Non-SAARC Countries Students: $75

The students must read out the Rules & regulations which are mentioned on the reverse side of this form. Please go through them carefully before filling up the form.
The request for re-evaluation by the student must be made within one month of declaration of his/her result. The date of declaration of result will be calculated from the date on which the result(s) are placed on the university official website.
After re-evaluation, the better of the two scores of original marks/grade and marks/grade after re-evaluation will be considered.
Note: It should be noted that Re-evaluation of answer script is permissible for Term End Examination only. The students cannot apply for revaluation for their Project/Dissertation, Practicals / Lab courses, Workshops, Assignments & Seminar etc.
